The online training platform at Final Surge is where you will find all your personalized training, and when you sync your running watch to Final Surge, all tracked activities will upload for your coach to monitor and analyze. Depending on your preference, Final Surge offers user-friendly web browser and app versions that allow access to your training and your coach anywhere you find yourself.
The easiest way to communicate with your coach is to use the workout feedback and comment functions in Final Surge, or via text message.
If you need training modified or adapted, remember that you may not be able to reach your coach in the moments right before you begin a run or workout.
If you need to speak with your coach on the phone, please send a message first to arrange a mutually convenient time.
Sometimes even the best laid plans can go astray due to unforeseeable circumstances. If you find yourself unable to continue training and would like to put coaching on pause, please contact your coach directly or inquire at email@example.com about making such arrangements.
We understand that life doesn't always go according to plan. If you need to end your coaching plan we'll simply pro-rate one final payment as if you had been on the month-to-month plan.
In the spirit of the partnership that a coach-athlete relationship represents, we ask that any requests to cancel coaching be addressed directly with your coach to ensure a satisfactory and shared understanding.
"After 10 half marathons over 10 years, my first full marathon at the age of 46 finishing was a 4:12:07 using a free plan online. A few weeks after that race, I decided to look for a coach and found Drew. On our first Zoom call, he listened to my goals/concerns - a few days later I had my plan and I was off running.
Fast forward 37 weeks, I ran my second marathon and with Drew's guidance was able to BQ with a time of 3:14:43 on 4 days a week and no more than 44 miles."
- Kevin B., Apopka, FL
"What a gift Coach Kim has been to my running journey! She instinctively knows when to push and when to pull back. I've come farther than I ever thought possible with her guidance because she listens, supports, skillfully adjusts and always inspires!"
- Laura D., New Jersey
"Working with Coach Drew has been a very gratifying experience. He builds my training plan around my busy schedule and is responsive to all of my questions. Being in my forties and in the sport since middle school, I wasn’t sure if I could still improve. Fortunately, after working with Drew, I have had personal bests in every distance from 5k to the marathon, including running over 35 minutes below my Boston Marathon qualifying time. I highly recommend his guidance if you are looking to get the best out of yourself."
Angie J., Grove City, PA
"Drew demonstrates all of the qualities one seeks in a running coach: technical acumen, empathy, and teamwork. He recognizes that coaching is a two-way street and communicates with his clients not on just what workouts to do but how to make them fit with the unplanned nuances of regular life. Drew quickly assessed my running background and got to work on a plan to make me faster dialing-in my paces for workouts with immediate and continuous results. In just three months of working with Drew, I obtained a new half marathon PR on a difficult course. Now, I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish next."
- Tyler R., Washington DC
"After taking three years off from doing a marathon, I started working with Kim Conley, and I not only PR'd but BQ'd by over 40 minutes and won first female!"
-Davana H., New Jersey
"After many years and several coaches, I found Kim Conley, and she has helped me to reach a level of running that I haven't seen in a decade, with new new goals to chase. But, most importantly, I am loving running again! She is a real partner in my journey."
- Karen B., Indiana
Since working with Kim, I have seen incredible progress in my running. I've set new personal records, finished races I never thought I could, and most importantly, fallen in love with the sport. Whether it's through check-ins, personalized feedback on workouts, or cheering me on during races, I always feel like I have a true partner in my running journey.
-Brad M., New York
"Kim embodies everything I could ever ask for in a coach - she is enthusiastic, empathetic, and an exceptional communicator. She has helped me break through physical and mental barriers that have exceeded my wildest imaginations. Whether you are a first time runner or trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon you need to be working with Kim Conley."
- Joe R., New York
"As a new runner I was interested in finding the joy and sport of running. Drew has exceeded my expectations with coaching. Thanks to his commitment, knowledge, and attentiveness, he has help me build the confidence and skill to take on my first half marathon in less than a year. He challenged me where I need it and modifies any training as needed while tailoring training plans specially for me."
- Dana K., Fenton , MI
