Lauren's coaching career began at the youth and high school levels while she was still attending Baylor University. She was a 4-time state champion as a high school athlete in Arkansas, and graduated from Baylor as a 6-time NCAA All-American, with a degree in Exercise Physiology. Lauren went on to pursue her Masters in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior from the University of Tennessee. While at Tennessee, she coached the Houston High girls cross country team to the 2015 State Title.
Lauren has been a professional runner since 2009, running every distance from the 800m to the marathon, and has competed in 3 Olympic Trials on the track. She made her marathon debut at the 2023 Grandma's Marathon where she won in 2:25. She began coaching adult runners in 2017, and loves to help busy athletes balance the demands of their lives with goal setting and a plan to achieve those goals.
Lauren currently lives in Flagstaff, Arizona and is a member of the Hoka Northern Arizona Elite professional team. She loves the satisfaction of pursuing a dream and to see her athletes feel empowered by accomplishing the goals they have worked so hard for.
