Personalized Coaching is our most popular coaching service. Training will incorporate your unique background, current fitness and goals, while always evolving as fitness advances. Your training will be delivered weekly through Final Surge and adapted as often as needed to fit around your life circumstances. Workouts can sync to your watch with your paces (Garmin, Coros, or Apple), and you have unlimited communication with your coach.
Cost $199/month
Next Best Run Custom Training Plans are 16-week training plans for the race of your choice, delivered as a PDF. With your purchase you'll also receive an initial 30-minute coaching consult, a custom pace chart, and an overview of marathon & long run fueling. Training plan purchases are final, and not adjusted on an ongoing basis. There is no ongoing contact with a coach unless you opt in to coaching consults for check-ins throughout your training.
Cost: $199
For individuals following their own training plans, our coaches are available for 30-minute zoom consults. We help athletes target their training and race paces, understand the basics of long run fueling, strategize their next race, or answer any questions they have about training. Coaching Consults can also be purchased as an add-on to Custom Training Plans for check-ins and to help making adjustments to the plan.

A 2x US Olympian at 5000m, Kim has
coached athletes to PR's from the mile to the marathon. Under Kim's guidance athletes have run their first races ever, made marathon debuts, and qualified for the Boston Marathon.

Drew has helped athletes reach their potential at the high school, NCAA, Olympic, and recreational levels. He has over 25 years of coaching experience and holds a Level 2 endurance coaching certification from USATF.

With a degree in Exercise Physiology, a Masters in Sport Psychology & Motor Behavior, and over as a decade as professional runner, Lauren brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her coaching.

Devin has coached athletes at the youth, high school, collegiate and adult levels, including individual and team championship and school record performances. He holds a USATF Level 2 endurance coaching certification and strength & conditioning certification from the US Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association.

Personalized Coaching is geared toward the runner looking for training tailored around his/her life and customized to an individual's unique athletic background and goals. Communication is ongoing, and training is delivered through Final Surge on a weekly basis to ensure the level and load reflects the way in which training has been progressing. A Next Best Run Custom Training Plan is a fixed training plan built for a maximum of sixteen weeks in advance of a target race and delivered as a PDF. Runners will receive a custom pace chart and long run nutrition advice, but there is no ongoing communication with a coach unless they opt in for follow-up Coaching Consults.
The online training platform at Final Surge is where athletes with Personalized Coaching will find all their training, and when you sync your running watch to Final Surge, all tracked activities will upload for your coach to monitor and analyze. Depending on your preference, Final Surge offers user-friendly web browser and app versions that allow access to your training and your coach anywhere you find yourself.
For athletes with Personalized Coaching, the easiest way to communicate with your coach is to use the workout feedback and comment functions in Final Surge, or via text message.
If you need training modified or adapted, remember that you may not be able to reach your coach in the moments right before you begin a run or workout.

To cancel your coaching service please email Kim Conley at contact@nextbestrun.com seven days prior to your next billing date. Failure to inform with advance notice could result in another charge going through, which we will refund minus the charges applied by the payment service. In the spirit of the partnership that a coach-athlete relationship represents, we ask that any requests to cancel coaching are also addressed with your coach to ensure a satisfactory and shared understanding.
