Overview

Level Up 2025 is a four-part online series designed to help you crush your spring goals. Each session will focus on one aspect of performance to help you learn the ‘why’ behind your training, stay injury free, optimize nutrition for training and racing, and hone the mental skills to push yourself to a new level on race day. We’ve brought together experts we respect and trust to take your performance to the next level, whether your goal is to improve your 5k, run a breakthrough half marathon, or master your next marathon. In addition to the invaluable insight featured in each session, all registrants will receive a hardcover bound notebook for guided goal setting in the mental performance presentation and for any other note taking throughout the series. All sessions will be recorded and shared for anyone that can’t attend a live Zoom meeting.

The Program

Training for Peak Performance

Kim and Drew will explore the nuances of training intensities and the way in which we emphasize different physiological systems depending on the priority race for a season. You'll learn about periodization in a training program, how we 'compound' training advances through a season leading to a peak event, and how different types of training and workouts should look and feel.

Injury Prevention & Strength Training for Runners

Physical Therapist and running mechanics expert Jay Dicharry will show the group how to self-assess for mechanical issues unique to each individual and what that means for strength and mobility exercises to help improve the way a body moves. Participants will gain an understanding of their body and how they can best warm up for runs, approach supplemental strength training, and maximize the efficiency of their running, all with the aim of minimizing the risk of injury.

Optimizing Nutrition for Performance

All runners can get the most out of their training by honing their approach to fueling--before, during, and after runs. Meghann Featherstun will teach you how to optimize your fueling practices to ensure you make the most of each run and workout and arrive at race day ready for the best possible performance.

Goal Setting and Mental Skills for Racing

There is far more mental and emotional energy involved in running than one might first expect. Expand the power and application of your mind with Dr. Paul Salitsky as he guides the group through the process of goal setting and teaches you how hone your mental strength. Bring your notebooks for this one and be prepared to put your dreams down in writing.
